With innovative designs such as actively cooled fuel controls, our customers are able to transfer back and forth from liquid to gas fuels upon demand. More importantly, component and system reliability are such that, gas turbine owners are also able to schedule maintenance on our components which coincide with major turbine inspection intervals. Regardless of whether you operate a base load unit with annual inspections or a peaking turbine whose service intervals are years apart, our valve designs will perform at a level which is unparalleled. Building upon the success of our water cooled liquid fuel check valves, which have demonstrated that when coking is eliminated, valve function and system operation is predictable. New designs such as our water cooled 3-way purge valve have been developed. We offer existing valve users the ability to upgrade from the standard uncooled design during refurbishment. Significant cost savings and reliability are the primary benefits of this new configuration. Since liquid fuel, purge air and instrument air connections remain the same, gas turbine owners only need to add water supply and return manifolds that tap into the existing cooling water to complete this performance enhancing modification. The cooling water circuit is so simple that it typically can be installed in a day. JASC's Smart Flow 3000 is another product innovation which has been developed to provide gas turbine owners with remote monitoring capability for cooling water circuits such as are used on flame detectors or water-cooled fuel controls. The Smart Flow is able to shut-off water flow and provide a control room alarm when flow discrepancies between supply and return lines of .1 gpm or higher are detected. Additionally, Smart Flows temperature control capability keeps water-cooled fuel components from waxing and eliminates condensation on flame detectors. One Smart Flow multifunctional controller is designed to monitor and operate one or more remote systems on multiple turbines.
